It's been extremely busy this spring, which doesn't leave much time for many other things, including blogging! A very popular furniture piece for us this spring has been our rustic bathroom vanity made from rustic cedar. Our vanities come in a variety of wood including cedar, hickory, pine, reclaimed cedar fence (trust us, it looks great!) and authentic 100 year old barnwood.

Chris used authentic 100 year old barnwood salvaged from barns that were demolished in the state of Minnesota.

His hand made furniture is crafted with care, dedication and expertise using a piece of history - reclaimed wood from barns that have stood for a century and have become part of the rich history of our land.

Now, as furniture, the heritage of these barns lives on as furnishings that will grace the homes of those who appreciate the beauty of the wood that our ancestors once depended on for their livelihoods. Bringing these boards back to life is extremely rewarding for Chris as he works in the shop to create more unique pieces on a daily basis.

Both products meet all safetly guidelines for baby furniture. Baby log furniture and children's furniture are becoming very popular. Many people who have rustic furnishings in their cabins, cottages and log homes are also looking to purchase furniture for their children! We have had a lot of interest in such products.
The log baby furniture will complete the rustic decor for people who own rustic style homes. It would also be a nice addition for people who own lodges or resorts which cater to vacationing families.

Welcome to our blog about rustic and log furniture!

Any thoughts, comments or questions that you have about rustic log furniture, or barnwood furniture are welcome! We started Vienna Woodworks in 2002 up in Superior, WI, and now operate the shop from Waseca, MN, but Chris has been building furniture all of his life. Once he started making rustic log furniture, he knew that he had found his niche.

We have now added barnwood furniture to our product line, and plan to add many more pieces soon. Our supply of 100+ year old barnwood comes from barns that are taken down near our shop - and we have a huge supply of materials to work with!This has been a very exciting year for us, as our company has grown and we want to thank all of our loyal customers for making this possible!
