JUNIPER LOG BED

A few of our more popular log bed styles shown above, these beds come in twin, full, queen, king and California king standard sizes.

The logs used for these beds are full of character and beautiful tones that will enhance any rustic bedroom decor.  The logs are peeled and buffed to a smooth texture and then finished with a UV protecting clear finish that brings out the rich character in the logs.  Our furniture will not yellow or discolor over time because of the high grade finish that we use on all of our pieces. They will last for years due to the method that we use for mortise and tenon joinery.

We also craft bunk beds and hickory log beds, and all of our bed lines have matching log nightstands, log dressers and log drawer chests.  We also provide log blanket chests, log mirrors and log rocking chairs.  We will post more of our log bedroom furniture in future posts shortly.

Please keep in mind that we also do custom work and welcome your ideas, questions and inquiries!  We can be contacted at 888-625-7570 or info@viennawoodworks.com.

Very Sturdy, Very Rustic and Very Unique

Designed and Built By Christopher Wiener

My husband Chris, the owner of Vienna Woodworks Rustic Furniture Co in Waseca, MN loves making these bent branch beds or twig beds as they are sometimes called. Chris does not like calling these beds twig beds because he feels that the word "twig" does not truly represent them, as thicker, stronger bent braches are actually used. He goes through our Very Large pile of logs and bent branches and selects the parts, and as he describes it, puts them together, like a puzzle. Building rustic furniture takes more than just knowing how to run equipment and follow a plan. There is a great deal of creativity and artistic talent involved in making unique pieces of furniture that are not only pleasant to the eye but also functional and well crafted. More often than not, the end result is the product of his vision and internal planning. Besides using standard measurements for certain pieces of rustic furniture, there usually are no paper plans involved. Chris' blend of talents for both creativity and building furniture have resulted in some products that have a very natural look to them. These bent branch log beds are an excellent example of the unique qualities that Chris' furniture has, which are available through Vienna Woodworks Rustic Furniture Company.
